Every Pennsylvania resident who operates any motor vehicle must have a driver license or learner’s permit. The DMV written test covers the contents of the Pennsylvania DMV Driver’s Manual. It contains questions on Pennsylvania road signs, traffic laws, and rules of safe driving. The Pennsylvania DMV written knowledge test consists of 60 questions. To pass the PA DMV test, you must correctly answer at least 48 questions (80%). Practice with this sample test to familiarize yourself with the format of the Pennsylvania driver’s license test.

Yea I'm just so excited to get my permit but I'm doing a practice test on my phone my buddy Carson told me that it's easier to prepare for the written test then I'll be on the road in no time

I just googled the pa permit test and it said it was only 18 questions and you could get 3 wrong wtf??

Don't waste your money on the cheat sheet. They claim the speed limit in a school zone in PA is 25mph. IT IS ALWAYS 15MPH!

As of May 2021 there are 18 questions and you need 15 to pass. The moment you get 4 wrong, the test stops and you have to take it again another day. The 18 questions are chosen from the 60 questions, shown here, randomly.
